The team at Polar Cap Productions, Inc. (PCP) has a rich history in production and has worked together on a variety of screen-based projects for more than 10 years.

PCP President Mark Terry formed his film and television production company Hollywood Canada in 1983 originally as a magazine publishing house. Five years later, he produced his first documentary with PCP Director of Photography Damir Chytil. The film was called Clive Barker: The Art of Horror and was made with the National Film Board of Canada and released theatrically by Paramount Pictures.

In the mid-1990s, Mark opened a post production facility in downtown Toronto called Post City and hired PCP VP of Production Jordana Aarons as the facility’s General Manager. Mark soon created an in-house film and television production company called Liquid Pictures. For this company Jordana served as a Director of Development and in-house Production Manager. Together they produced the documentary feature We Stand on Guard with Gordon Pinsent.

Stephen Bourne is an experienced sound recordist and mixer who has worked with Damir on similar documentary projects. The camera and sound team are again reunited following Arctic documentary projects for both of them.

Adding web-based production to Hollywood Canada’s list of services, Mark hired PCP Creative Director Daniel Savaglio. Experienced in designing digital content for web-based projects, Daniel soon made a significant contribution in designing websites, corporate logos, one-sheets, title art and other promotional material key to a production’s development stage.

Brandy Snow, PCP’s Director of Digital Marketing is a skilled HTML author, Brandy posts all online content and maintains the site for marketing the production to broadcasters around the world.

Our Executive Producer is Stavros Stavrides. The Genie-Award winning documentary filmmaker (God Rides A Harley) is now working primarily with the Discovery Channel and National Geographic producing, writing and directing documentaries for television. We are very fortunate to have him our team.

The final member of the team, Scott Zaremba, first worked with Mark in 2004 as an in-house researcher. His contributions to the development stage of the Ice Planet video game resulted in a successful application to the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund.
